How it all started
On pointe, but not prepared
Rep folder in ruck-sack, I graduated college raring to audition. Technique on pointe — my admin? More of a sad sickle. Invoicing, tax returns… where do you even begin? Avoid!
Tax return tears
Then came my first tax return. I had no idea what I was doing — what counts as income, what I could claim, which numbers went where. Mum helped, but I was convinced I'd got it wrong and a fine I couldn't afford was coming.
Enter James
Then I swiped a (rather handsome) chartered accountant into my life — how convenient. Together we set out to fix the anxiety, stress and hopelessness that I, and so many of my friends, felt about being self-employed in the arts. And just like that, SansDrama was born.
